I'm using the Canon AE-1 Program, Zenit 12 XP and the Canon Canonet 28. I simply love how they look, how it feels to use them, the sounds they make and maybe how they smell as well. You know that magical feeling after winding the film and pushing the shutter.
I love not having a working light meter on my Zenit and having to think on my own how to choose the exposure time and aperture and wondering what is going to come out of it. Also having a limited number of frames makes me think twice if I'm going to catch that moment or wait for something better. In addition, the fact that I don't need to charge it, no batteries and just the roll of film is great! Last thing is that it allows me to be involved in the entire process. From unwinding the film to developing and scanning it.
I remember that time when I was given a Chinon film camera about one and a half year ago. The last time I put my hands on a film camera was so many years ago. I thought that nothing would come out of my first roll of film. Surprisingly, 32 frames turn out good. I was so anxious to see them. The first time I held them in my hands I was instantly hooked!
