I don't actually use a cheap camera all the time but I have to admit how magical the effects are using such cameras. I have my Canon EOS 5D Mark III but I'd still use my Pentax ME a lot.
What I love about having an analog camera is that it can fit in my bag easily which is why it's with me almost all the time. Sometimes I won't be using it for months and forgetting what photos I took with it. Just when I get the film/s developed and scanned it feels like a time machine of some sort.
Having a visual mind I discovered that I was always looking for the right light and people. I sometimes don't even shoot with the right settings 'cause I just enjoy every moment of taking pictures.
I was a hardcore full-time skater when I was young. Every single day I would went out and start filming everything with my friends. My love for skate movies and photography really started from there. Professional skateboarders always travel to different countries to find skate spots and make use of the architecture in a creative way. So I did the same thing! Seeing other cultures and places really enriches your mind and feeds your curiosity. It's mainly skateboarding that made me do photography and film.
Use your phone's camera. The camera is just an extension of your mind, it's just a tool. Start with taking the picture with your mind.
