My cheap camera is the Smena. I like it because of its size and how light it is for me to practically take it everywhere. It takes good images, quality wise, and it got this elegant but modest retro-soviet look. I feel very comfortable using it in almost all sorts of situation. Sometimes I'd prefer big and professional cameras like medium format ones as well.
What made me decide to do photography was mainly because I was at a period in my life where I would experiment a lot. It really started when I bought all these old and cheap Soviet cameras. I like Soviet cameras with all of its imperfections.
Images taken using such cameras reflects the natural essence of every thing and it reminds me about my early childhood. How the light and haze plays around every single thing or person in each frame is just beautiful.
Always do your best not to lose a chance to try something new and unconventional. To not be afraid to take pictures regardless if you feel that you're not that good at the moment because sometimes those moments is when you'll come in contact with your hidden ability or talent to be good at it.
